Neuropuncture New Beginnings
It has been a long time since I last posted a blog—the last update was back in 2022, just before I moved to Wellington. At the time, I relocated my clinic to the Wellington CBD, hoping for a fresh start. However, I found myself in a city facing a significant recession, with many businesses closing their doors and widespread redundancies occurring across the government and private sectors. It became clear that the environment was not sustainable for a new acupuncture startup.
On a personal note, I moved to Wellington following Cyclone Gabriel, primarily to protect my family. While that chapter didn't unfold as planned, I am happy to report that my family is doing well and we are safe.
I am now very excited to announce that I have returned to Napier. My clinic is back in a beautiful, sanctuary-like environment on top of Hospital Hill, and business is booming. I want to sincerely thank everyone for your ongoing support. People continue to support this work because it truly makes a difference. Neuropuncture, which uses electro-stimulation to the brain to stabilize brain chemistry, is effectively reducing—and in some cases, resolving—the tinnitus that so many people struggle with.
I am also working on an exciting new project: a program designed with Qigong and breathwork to help our neurodiverse communities find focus. I am currently applying my biomedicine degree to my clinical space, integrating breathwork to provide even more comprehensive support. I’m really looking forward to sharing this program, which will be offered through live online classes. You do not have to be neurodiverse to join; whether you are diagnosed, undiagnosed, or simply curious, this program is designed to help you, your family members, colleagues, children, or neighbors. We have the neuroscience and the science to back it up, and we know it works.
I also want to address the sense of discord many are feeling in the world right now. I want to remind you that acupuncture is a powerful tool for supporting mental health, immune system response, and recovery from injury. Because I do so much work with brain injuries and neurodegenerative conditions like Alzheimer’s, many people assume that is all I treat. I want to clarify that I treat a wide range of conditions, including simple injuries and migraines. We are one of the few modalities in the world that can address such a broad spectrum of health needs, much like mainstream medicine.
